     Such a wonderful trip.  What a wonderful gift from my husband, a break and what better place to spend Mother's Day than half day with my kids, and half with my mom! I miss you all, already.

Mother's Day Reflections & Care packages for those suffering a loss

Mother's Day is here again, and I know full well how painful this day can be for some.  If a woman is dealing with the loss of a child or her own mother, or even the struggles of trying to achieve, this one day can be a day not worth celebrating or a reason to be "Happy".

I have been there as well.  I have suffered 4 miscarriages, at various stages of pregnancy and I have been on the roller coaster of infertility for almost 15 years. Its because of that journey of emotions I am normally so guarded with how I bee-bop around in my own bubble on Mothers Day.  I am very protective of those women's feelings.  

Mother's Day is on a Sunday, so even in church you can't escape the talk.  You cant walk into walmart without seeing the whole floral department bursting with color, balloons strung on every shelf, the jewelry department has signs, the sales papers have reminders, and the grocery store has a sidewalk tent sale.

As a Mom of 6, I often find that I don't spoil myself with food, I buy snacks everyone in the house can enjoy. Most often the gummi fruit snacks, potato chips and nutter butters are kept in the pantry for public access and consumption.

Parachute Playtime

 

Playtime with triplets & twins (& their cousin) takes creativity.  To constantly find Arts & Crafts, Games, Sports and unique activities is a job in itself.  We love allowing the children to explore outside, have fun and make messes.  I found this parachute at a good deal and the kids love it. 

 

I want purple, no I want yellow, let me have the orange spot!!! They love to bounce a ball on it, or pull it over their heads and play hide and seek.  It teaches colors, team play, coordination and cooperation.  It helps build upper body strength, as well.

 

And honestly, who has enough kids to play with one of these, unless you own a daycare! 

 

 

Teacher Appreciation Week May 5th-9th! Gifts from the Triplets & Twins

Teachers are unsung heroes. Parents rely on teachers to teach and care for their children five days a week for seven to eight hours a day.  Without teachers, many children would not learn what it takes to graduate high school and go on to college.  While it’s important to appreciate your child’s teachers all year long, there is a week designated as teacher appreciation week whereby everyone can let their favorite teachers know how much they appreciate what they do for kids, day in and day out.
